Controversy Over The King James Version!

Controversy Over The King James Version!

Controversy Over The King James Version! Lately, I’ve encountered many people who love to ridicule those who seem to trust only the King James Version of the Bible for determining the accuracy of biblical doctrines.

Another Resource: Changing The Word

There’s an extremely good reason to trust only the King James Version of the Bible for learning the Truth! The KJV is the only translation of the Bible that is based on “the received text.”

This public trend to ridicule those who emphasize the KJV is a trend that is “sponsored” by the Catholic Church! And why would they sponsor this trend? To further promote the use of the hundreds of other translations which they have already been able to corrupt!

Catholic

For example, let’s turn to Hebrews 4:8 in the KJV and the NKJV!

8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

Hebrews 4:8 KJV
8 For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day.

Hebrews 4:8 NKJV

Please notice that the words are almost identical, but the meanings are completely opposite from one another!

In the KJV, Hebrews 4:8 clearly implies that Jesus did NOT EVER mention another day of rest, other than Saturday, also accurately known as “The Lord’s Day”!

But in the NKJV quotation, the order of the words “then would he” has been changed to “then He would.” This implies that Joshua is God, by reason of the fact that they changed from “he” to “He,” and that He DID mention another day of worship, also known as Sunday, which the Catholic Church and other Sunday-keeping Protestant churches have repeatedly mislabeled as “The Lord’s Day,” i.e. Sunday!

This is a perfect example of just how “sneaky” the Catholic Church can be at perverting the Bible using very small and often unnoticed changes!

"15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him".

John 14:15-21 KJV

Notice The Difference

15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[c] in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”

John 14:15-21 NIV

Please notice that very little is changed, but the word “commandments” has changed to “commands”! This COMPLETELY changes the meaning from “The Ten Commandments” to literally ALL of Jesus’ commands!

This is a huge topic, and there’s much to learn about it! So let’s dig in! Here is an excellent video to watch to get you started!

What’s Up Prof – Walter Veith & Martin Smith – Purified Seven Times

So, from the video and the brief outline above, we know that the Bible’s King James Version is the best translation for determining “the truth” according to God’s Word! And who is behind the trend of ridiculing those who prefer the KJV? The Catholic Church! They obviously can’t burn all of the Bibles, so the next best way to defeat God is to pervert His Word!
